Around the Farm // 10

Another sad, rainy week behind us. Thank goodness for Mountain Day! A day devoted to all things New England fall – a hiking, leaf peeping, a capella singing, cider drinking, donut eating delight!

Sunny’s off to my parents’ house for the weekend, so James and I plan on spoiling our second born rotten for the brief time that she’ll enjoy life as the only child. Oh, and they’ll be a visit to a sheep farm. Ewe Rock Farm. We’ll see if I bring yet another dependent home, because when everything’s dying around me, what do I do? Collect living things. I’m completely, unabashedly dependent on my dependents. Therapy session for today, CHECK!

3. Dora (the hen) has taken to perching on our lawn mower. She’s got the entire farm at her disposal, and she chooses a piece of machinery. Way to shoot the free range platform in the mouth, DORA.

6. I had to convince my child that it’s okay to run in the middle of the road where we live, given that we’re at the end of a dead end dirt road. She was skeptical. Wise girl.
