This woman is my other half at work. She’s the Queen of efficiency and overshares. Not surprisingly, we are kindred spirits.
Also? My children think she walks on water. And the feeling seems to be mutual. So we’ll keep her.

We’re kicking off Sunny’s 2012 Style section with a purple blaze of awesome thanks to Ode Kids. If you’ve been reading for awhile then you already know that this family has a minor (fine, MAJOR) obsession with the royal shade of purple. It’s our Eph roots. We can’t help ourselves. So it comes as no surprise that when selecting an Ode Kids dress for Miss Addison, I opted for the Gabby in said hue.

This dress is by far the most exquisite ensemble in Sunny’s wardrobe. Even I don’t have a 100% silk gown hanging in my closet. But, while the dress is stunningly beautiful, it is also styled in such a casual and comfortable manner, that the 2.5 year old adores wearing it, complete with her “party shoes.”
Side note: My father (a geneticist) jokes that there must be a Patent Leather Gene running in the XX chromosome. Now that I’m mother to two daughters, I totally get it.
The dress proved to be a very festive choice in which to ring in the New Year. Complete with confetti! You can see very clearly how much fun she had rocking her new purple duds. Also? I’m totally aware that I need to get over my fear of ironing. NOTED!
