This series showcases very clearly why we’ve taken to calling Courtland, “Popeye.”

I mean, POPPY. Apologies, Jo. It is far more lady like, I know I know.

Courtland had her first shoot in the studio with the delightful Kate so that we could wrap up the maternity series. I’ll unveil those photos next week. Along with an incredible series Kate shot of our family right before Courtland’s birth, complete with balloons and rock candy. Awesome indeed.

Kate was a doll and snapped these images of Courtland lounging on her couch before we hit the studio. She’s just so sweet and blonde and new, despite the grumpy old man slash E.T. likeness. She’s the most angelic elderly alien I’ve ever seen.

Have I mentioned that Kate is the best? Need a photographer? I can’t recommend her enough. The fact that she is one of the most adorable and endearing people on planet Earth doesn’t hurt either.
