“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2014.”
Sunny: On Thursday, we went to the welcome night at her new elementary school. She met next year’s Kindergarten teachers, got to see her classroom and play with her future classmates and friends. James and I have been steeped in nostalgia and are left wondering, Where on Earth did our Mohawk baby go?
Kaki: We are battling a four month long cough that may very well be indicative of asthma. She’s on daily inhalers, and is left coughing and hacking anytime she lies down to rest. Unfortunately, she caught my cold (that I’ve been battling all week), which only exacerbates the violence of her cough. In typical Kaki-fashion, she’s as firey and spirited as ever despite erupting lungs.
