Thanksgiving // 2013
by Ashley Weeks Cart
Ah, another lovely, warm and fuzzy-filled Thanksgiving is behind us.
I made sure to pause and reveal in the laughter of my family. Healthy, happy, together.
Together.
That is not something I will ever take for granted. Ursa’s absence was palpable. My first Thanksgiving without her in nine years. But Gladden’s puppy antics provided a welcome distraction and reminder that life is still filled with joy. A joy punctuated by sadness. Making the joy all the more special. All the more present. I am so grateful these people are mine.
^^Beautiful carrots dug up from our garden on Thursday morning for Kimmy’s signature Sausage Sour Dough Stuffing.^^
^^Preschool Arts and Crafts FTW!^^
^^A bouquet from a local Farmer’s Market. Love!^^
^^Sunny made us all paper crowns that we wore throughout dinner. So silly. So wonderful.^^
^^Gorgeous Marimekko velvet quilt found and gifted by Momar. (A Black Friday find).^^
^^These ridiculous, wonderful human beings are my family. And I wouldn’t want it any other way.^^
