Geraldine De Beco

As a kid, my favorite bowls and cups were the one’s with a surprise waiting at the bottom of the vessel. Like a small ceramic bunny or puppy. You had to slurp up all the milk in order to reveal the critter at the bottom.

These positively stunning ceramic bowls by Geraldine De Beco for Bernardaud provide a twist on these beloved pieces from our childhood. You must fill the vessel with liquid in order to reveal the surprise, whether it be a cat, wolf or bird. Pretty amazing, huh? Now if only I could rationalize dropping 240€ on a bowl. <Le Sigh>

Raining Balloons

Here is the first installment from the series Kate shot of our family right before Courtland’s birth.

It’s the raining rainbow balloons portion of the photos. Naturally.

I’ve highlighted my favorites and installed a gallery of all of the images if you are so inclined to peruse the full set. Many thanks to Kate for her creative genius,  to Justine for lending us her lungs for the inflating of dozens of balloons, and to Joe and Geraldine for providing the setting and Joe much set support throughout the whole shoot. Everyone remained unfazed when the myriad of balloons began exploding like popcorn in the summer sun. Even Sunny was a trooper.

Our friends are the greatest.
