“A portrait of my children, once a week, every week, in 2013.”

Sunny: Her story telling has only become more elaborate and expressive this week. I so enjoyed the videos that James sent me all weekend while I was in Boston that showcased Sunny’s dramatic accounts of their days. Last night, we snuggled in bed, I desperate to finish this month’s book club book (American Wife by Curtis Sittenfeld) in time for tonight’s meeting , and Sunny with a stack of her favorite books as tall as her person. I love that we can share those kind of relaxed activities together.
Kaki: Oh, this little one has grown an aversion to the camera. As soon as I raise the lens to my eye, she squirms and turns her face away, saying, “Nah nah nah!” The only way I could keep her happy for this shot was to play the tickle game where we rotate tickling one another while she babbles, “Ticky ticky ticky.” She is as adorably cute as ever. My obsession with one year olds grows by the day.
