Signature Dish
by Ashley Weeks Cart
This will be the third time that James and I have hosted Thanksgiving dinner in our own home. Since we first did the honors back in 2008, we’ve locked in two signature dishes that will forever be a part of our gluttonous festivities. And I have a feeling that this Sweet Potato Vichyssoise is about to join the ranks.

This year, all of the food and decor has been locally sourced, which is a pretty awesome (AND delicious) thing to say. What are you cooking up this Thanksgiving? Any recipes I should be sure to try? How will you be celebrating?

LOVE that your menu is made from locally-sourced ingredients!!! And, it sounds just plain delicious to boot. Furthermore, I love the illustrated menu!
I was hoping to go to a restaurant here that was serving a locally sourced holiday menu {it is a southern food restaurant that I love; it would have been mouth-watering}. But, alas, my in-laws planned for us to have our meal on a dinner train (???) … I am skeptical, but hoping for the best (and a halfway-decent traditional Thanksgiving feast at the least).
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
Oh! A dinner train! I’m intrigued! Hope it was delicious, Chloe! xo
Sounds lovely.
We do a family potluck sort of thing so I made the scalloped corn, green bean casserole and crescent rolls. I also took a stab at my first-ever homemade cranberry sauce and it was YUM. <3 you friend.
Oh yum!!! Love to you and yours!!! xoxo
