As autumn fades to winter, the colors that birthed the leaf-peepers of New England bleed into a gray-brown-purple monotone of hibernation. Depending on your upbringing, this either excites you with the anticipation of frosted mornings, the silence of snowfall, and white awesome…or it slowly sucks your soul of all life being.

Luckily, a clear night sky rebuilds my soul in about 7 seconds.

1. Rebuilder

2. An airplane – over 4 seconds.

3. Horror movie lighting scene outside our sunroom/kitchen. How sweet!

4. Our barn has a soul. At least the top half of it does…Or the barn is housing God for the evening. Or a flashlight salesman. Or it’s on fire. Or there’s a glowworm convention.

5. Rebuilt.
