What chemo?

by Ashley Weeks Cart

Ursa did her first round of chemo on Friday to try to control what has been diagnosed as histiocytic sarcoma, essentially a joint cancer.

The average survival rate of this cancer is 400 days if managed with chemotherapy, so around 1 year. The chemo is sadly not a cure. But given that she’s supposed to be lethargic and pukey right now and instead is bouncing around the yard playing fetch, I’d say that this dog has got some fight in her.

400 days? Psssht! She’s working on 4,000! We are encouraged because right now her chest looks clear, and well, as you can see for yourself, her personality and spirit are strong as ever.

What chemo? What amputated limb? What cancer?
